The 2016 SEC Kick-off Party is just around the corner!
Join SEC alumni from around the state on Saturday, August 27, at Stoney's Bar & Grill, 1111 Lincoln St., for the annual family-friendly barbeque bash! We'll have games, prizes, giveaways, food, drank, activities, pinatas, LIVE MUSIC, and all the other fun times you're used to, in a fun and festive family atmosphere.
Ticket information and event specifics will be coming very soon from each school's Colorado alumni group. Like their facebook pages or join their email lists so that you're on top of the game.
Q: Will there be an SEC Picnic this year? A: This is your event and it's going to be great! Stoney's is an awesome venue and host to our own Denver LSU alumni group. They're going to take great care of us! By having an event host, we're able to accommodate a lot of your requests, such as live music and additional group activities and programs.
The wonderful thing is that the number of SEC alumni in the area has grown so much over the last few years; the downside of this is that proper permitting and insurance options for our picnic are increasingly difficult and expensive to come by. We're very happy to have found a welcoming event space!
Q: What will we eat? A: Barbeque and Southern fixins!
Q; Will it feel like a picnic? A: Yes! Each school will have its own tent setup and space, just like at the park. And there's space outdoors!
Q: But what about free beer? A: Stoney's is very generously allowing the SEC Club to accept keg donations from local breweries, so that we can do our best to provide you with the experience you're used to! In addition, there will be a cash bar for those who would prefer that option.
Q: Can I bring my kids? A: We hope you do! We'll have our traditional pinata breaking, in addition to cornhole, giant Jenga, music, pool, and free arcade games.

RMGC is proud to announce our International Gator Day Project will be at the Denver Fisher House! RMGC's own Melanie Starkman is the Executive Director of the Foundation and we're beyond excited to help out one of our own.
Denver Fisher House provides a "home away from home" for active duty military, veterans, and their families when coming in from out of town for extended medical treatment at the Denver VA Medical Center or VA approved facility, such as University Hospital. Families never pay to stay at the house and length of stay is determined by length of medical treatment.
On May 21st, we'll be doing a number of projects at the house, including: Building and staining a pergola, organizing sheds, rocks removed from flower beds and replaced with mulch, weeding, planting, large thorny bushes removed, evergreen bushes trimmed.
The club will provide a t shirt for club members and lunch after we're done working that day.
