It's time to dust off the Gator gear and join your Rocky Mountain Gator Club once again for the beginning of our beloved football team's season. Year 2 of Coach McElwain's tenure is sure to bring lots of excitement especially now that we have a QB and that all important Kicker!
We have an all new board that is excited to greet you as you arrive and offer up some great items that will be fun and create more excitement over the season!
Plan to arrive early as the first game is always well attended and seating will fill up fast. There will be overflow seating downstairs and outside on the patio.
Here is what you can expect to see at the party, other than the obvious reason, which is football:
The always anticipated club t-shirt with a limited supply of tank tops. Shirts generally go fast so make sure you get one when you arrive!
Stickers of the shirt logo will also be available to show off around town
Beat stickers to show off your Gator pride
Limited supply of schedule posters and UFAA orange plastic cups
Photobooth opportunity to capture the memories of what is sure to be one of the best days of the year!
Jackson's has revamped their outdoor patio to include 2 bars, outstanding new TVs that will be super sharp and easy to see in the light of the day, and of course the best staff in town slinging your food and drinks.
Kids are always welcome to continue building their Gator pride and continue the bright future UF always has.
Jackson's upstairs doors will open at 4:00. Kickoff is at 5:30.
Colorado Springs Gators will be gathering at Rhinos Sports and Spirits at Powers and Barnes.
We are excited to invite you to our annual 14er hike. On Saturday August 20th we will be spreading the Gator Nation to the the highest peak in Colorado-Mt. Elbert. We have reserved a few campgrounds for Friday and Saturday night at Lakeview Campground. Not into camping? Just come to hike for the day. We will meet at the trailhead at 7 AM. Not into hiking? Just come to camp for the weekend. All we ask is that you are please sincere with your RSVP. It is very important to get an accurate headcount for both planning and safety purposes.
Mount Elbert is a class 1 14er. Although there is no such thing as an "easy" 14er, this one should be suitable for all gators.
The 2016 SEC Kick-off Party is just around the corner!
Join SEC alumni from around the state on Saturday, August 27, at Stoney's Bar & Grill, 1111 Lincoln St., for the annual family-friendly barbeque bash! We'll have games, prizes, giveaways, food, drank, activities, pinatas, LIVE MUSIC, and all the other fun times you're used to, in a fun and festive family atmosphere.
Ticket information and event specifics will be coming very soon from each school's Colorado alumni group. Like their facebook pages or join their email lists so that you're on top of the game.
Q: Will there be an SEC Picnic this year? A: This is your event and it's going to be great! Stoney's is an awesome venue and host to our own Denver LSU alumni group. They're going to take great care of us! By having an event host, we're able to accommodate a lot of your requests, such as live music and additional group activities and programs.
The wonderful thing is that the number of SEC alumni in the area has grown so much over the last few years; the downside of this is that proper permitting and insurance options for our picnic are increasingly difficult and expensive to come by. We're very happy to have found a welcoming event space!
Q: What will we eat? A: Barbeque and Southern fixins!
Q; Will it feel like a picnic? A: Yes! Each school will have its own tent setup and space, just like at the park. And there's space outdoors!
Q: But what about free beer? A: Stoney's is very generously allowing the SEC Club to accept keg donations from local breweries, so that we can do our best to provide you with the experience you're used to! In addition, there will be a cash bar for those who would prefer that option.
Q: Can I bring my kids? A: We hope you do! We'll have our traditional pinata breaking, in addition to cornhole, giant Jenga, music, pool, and free arcade games.

RMGC is proud to announce our International Gator Day Project will be at the Denver Fisher House! RMGC's own Melanie Starkman is the Executive Director of the Foundation and we're beyond excited to help out one of our own.
Denver Fisher House provides a "home away from home" for active duty military, veterans, and their families when coming in from out of town for extended medical treatment at the Denver VA Medical Center or VA approved facility, such as University Hospital. Families never pay to stay at the house and length of stay is determined by length of medical treatment.
On May 21st, we'll be doing a number of projects at the house, including: Building and staining a pergola, organizing sheds, rocks removed from flower beds and replaced with mulch, weeding, planting, large thorny bushes removed, evergreen bushes trimmed.
The club will provide a t shirt for club members and lunch after we're done working that day.
